Some dancers can never master it because of lack of strength or proper training technique. It’s similar to keeping everything underneath you. Not loosely around but directly under the bum. It’s the strength of the calves quads and core that allow dancers to pull up and execute difficult moves without having to dip prior to the move. Sit-ups and stair dips are a good beginning point when starting out. Core is key to tidy tall straight dancing.

  • For DD to become consistent, she had been OC for twoish years. But if your dancer is one who executes corrections quickly, it shouldn't take as long. (NT) -- DD was so stubborn!, 19:50:29 02/21/23 Tue
  • Ha. Glad it's not just my dancer. (NT) -- eew, 08:55:49 02/22/23 Wed
