No one said they aren’t people. But people DO change their identities, religions, and cultures at different points in their life. That doesn’t mean everyone else has to follow them, agree with them, or believe they are right. It also doesn’t mean there isn’t care, love, and concern.

What can be done is respectful conversation on collaboration and middle grounds. But this has to come respectfully, without slander or comments about hating, accusations of transphobia. Those are dead-end arguments. Respect can’t be demanded and forced.
