This may not have happened in the mid Atlantic region, but this affects dancers in all regions. This petition, calling for the ban of transgender girls competing in the girls category, absolutely affects transgender dancers in all regions. This petition is full of misinformation and misrepresentation of scientific studies on adults, to justify their transphobia. Transgender children in Irish dance are feeling attacked and unsupported. Please stop the hate! Scientific studies of children’s sports support the inclusion of transgender children competing in their gender categories.
