The box awards are for qualifying for Nationals. Adults don't qualify for Nationals, therefore giving a box would just be a participation prize. U8 dancers don't get it either and their competition was a lot bigger. You were recognized on stage with a medal for your placement. I don't understand. (NT) -- ?, 15:34:21 11/27/23 Mon

Attending and qualifying are two different things. Any adult off the street can register for NAIDC. No qualifications needed. (NT) -- Not the same, 19:05:38 11/27/23 Mon

  - I think their point is that ALL adults, like U8, can go to nationals, so they don't "qualify". Since even the last place adult can go, there is no special award for qualifying. -- --, 20:09:36 11/28/23 Tue
    - Regardless of the rules about who can go to nationals, the top dancers at MARO in U8 and adults alike are designated as NQ and should be awarded as such just like all the other comps.
