in some regions the top kids hold off on local feiseanna, only competing a couple times before a major to try out their steps- it seems in mid atlantic there are a lot of top kids in the U15 group that feis a lot during the year- and getting in the top half of a local feis if you aren't already a WQ or WMH is difficult.
