What exactly happens when two schools merge? Does the school whose name takes over become the owner of the acquired school in name only? Or does the acquired school get the named schools steps? Teaching methods? Etc? I notice that McElligot merged with Denogola this fall. What exactly does that mean for dancers that attend the former McElligott? We are considering a transfer to former McElligott location that is now Denogola, but would like to know if we would really be Denogola dancers, or only in name.
