Subject: Why do you want to separate prelim from opens dancers??? If you or their teacher think they are good enough to handle a major then there is no need for a separate comp…

Majors are a unique opportunity to see a lot of dancers. Some are extraordinary to watch, some have great choreography, some are working hard and it shows and some are just entering the major circuit. If you are a prelim dancer or even a new dancer you should WANT TO BE IN THAT COMP. You can see the differences between a prelim dancer and a WMH- but you want thatZ. Dancers who have passion, dedication and a desire will get there. There are going to be heartbreaks, setbacks and moments they want to quit and it’s ok!!! When my kids were in grades and prelim they always wanted to do solos and when they were finally able to they didn’t always recall. Once they started recalling they at a new goal …. WQ. They missed that many times. It’s never guaranteed but if the LOVE dancing then all the hard work will be worth it and makes them better people and adults in the future
