Yeah its quite sad, even flip flops feel as confining as shoes since Im so stuck in them, but between bindiis everywhere and the heat I can really only ditch them at home and at other peoples homes. Yeah I didn't really get to do it growing up, my parents always put shoes on me, so my soles arent very hard or hardy I guess to heat. When I was on camp I got to ditch them for 5 whole days though which was fun, there was just one little bit of grass with bindiis and the rest was nice and squishy and nobody seemed to care.
