to remain single, I would have advanced in my art and become a professional in the field, but who knows if I ever would have married or had kids. I married and had children, and my art had to take the back seat. I do the occasional portrait, but nothing I could make a living on. I wouldn't trade it for the world though. My children are my life and I feel very proud of how I've raised them and what I've accomplished as a mom. Once you are a parent, at least for me, there is nothing else as important as your family. I get bummed sometimes that Im not further along in what I want to do with my art, but I know there is still time. Marriage is an up and down roller coaster. I have yet to meet anyone that has a "perfect" marriage.
