That is so on the money about anyone who looks back and wonders what if.
The road not taken and all that poetic stuff.
We all do it.
Choices are a bitch.
I find it hard to believe anyone would avoid getting too close because of a relationship they had 40 plus years ago, no matter how sweet the memory. I think that's folklore.
But choosing career over marriage, that has a certain logic if you enjoy what you do and you don't want any distraction.
Still one day you wake up and you're 40 or 50 or 60 and on and on if you're lucky.
The trick is to be satisfied with the choices.
And that's not just a challenge for CI.
