Relax? RELAX!! You're telling a guy with a case-a-day habit of Diet Choke and a manic obsessive personality to relax!?!?!

Ok, good idea.

Pah, details, details. You and your pesky "logic".

Oh quite a number of people, really. Oh, wait, you meant out writing this? Ah, good point. Probably as many folks as are reading it.

Well, I can say that those folks are insanely overworked. Unlike other sites, there's a real live human being with a real interest in a given area that is responsible for adding your link. (The removal process is automated but even then there's a real live human being responsible for putting the literal fork in a site.)

When they say they get thousands of links each day, they're not kidding. A fair number of them are spams and they s-can those automatically. (So if you really want your site listed, don't send in a ton of requests, or you never will) but they still need to do a check to make sure that your site 1) exists, 2) is appropriate for the category and 3) isn't loaded up with nazis having sex.

It takes time. Heck, when I submitted my site to Yahoo! back in 1995 (it's since been removed because the server got dropped) it took a few months for it to show up, and this was when folks had no idea what the web was.

As you are wont to remind me, Patience grasshopper, patience.

You and I are much alike in that regard. Explains why I post after I Post, doesn't it?

Well, if compressed it go boom. (ok, ok, it's a stretch. Basically I just kinda got stuck on the idea of setting up a powerful bomb on a pier full of incendiaries. RDX, by the way, is the principle explosive used in military ordnance. It's generally used in very small amounts. If it was used in the levels that I talked about, half of Boise would be missing.)

Odd, my cast list has twenty five characters. (well, ok twenty one and 4/4's)

    >Or just put up a page with a counter to track how many
    >people come to see your counter.

Nah, I'd just put up a page with a Hello Kitty Vibrator on it. (Oh, wait, I did that already...)

Ah, heck, the truth to the matter is that I'm doing this pretty much for my own evil reasons and not for overwhelming publicity. Strike that. I'd love overwhelming publicity too. But every now and then, the little voice in my head powers up the AudioTronic 3000 and informs me that I'm wasting my time. I vent, I wail, I post the same message three times in the dead of night, erasing and reformatting it so that it looks just right and then deal with saner, more rational folks slapping me upside the head repeatedly.

We all have our crosses. JIM is an egomaniac, you're a tad paranoid and I'm manic. Actually, I'm glad that I've not been cloned yet. Mostly because I'd make a horrible 80's detective.
