against smaller MAAC frontcourts. MAAC officials are used in Big East games when the scheduling is heavy.

The officials for today's game are going to call a majority of MAAC games. If you see them running around a Big East game, it's with two other Big East officials. You won't see that crew calling a Syracuse/Pitt game. Because the MAAC is a guard dominated league, and has been since inception - post play officiating is inconsistent at best.

If Courtney Fields throws a shoulder or his ass into Brent as hard as he can, he won't be called for a foul. If Brent does, Courtney winds up in the 3rd row and Brent gets a foul. Lots of nickle-dimers called on Brent.
