I'm not really all that eager to jump into the A-10 conglomerate, even if it means bigger-name basketball opponents. The other considerations can not be ignored. Even though the A-10 may have gone after some smaller Catholic programs in recent years, I am not confident that their point of view really matches with what these smaller Catholic programs' points of view should be.

I would be more favorable toward a restructuring that put some of the athletics-conscious Catholic institutions together, integrating strongly in ALL athletic programs and in academic pursuits. But as posted before, that is unlikely to occur.

So, the move just ain't worth it, stay in the MAAC and screw the A-10. That's for Fordham and LaSalle and the others who should never have left the MAAC. Show me where the A-10 becomes a conference about smaller Catholic programs and has policies that benefit the smaller Christian schools, and I'm all for it. Otherwise, screw them.
