As a first hand witness to Hofstra football, I can tell you it's not worth it even if you build a powerhouse I-AA football program. First of all, I believe scholarship football players are in general bigger campus troublemakers than any other athletes (hoopers mostly just like to smoke weed), but even if you can keep them under control, it's a huge money loser even when you're good. There is no big "Bowl payoff" to shoot for that can even the ledger.

For point #2, the expense is big, plus I think RPI and Union are far too entrenched for Siena to ever be any good. A lot of you guys brush off UAlbany's chances of succeeding at hoop, and it would be at least twice as hard for Siena hockey.

Number 3 is fine except for the fact you'll have to deal with Raver when the Siena/Ryder rivalry develops. ;-)
