When they play at the ARC..the women have somewhere between 1000-1500 people...lots of little kids with the shrilly, noisy voices etc. They play at the Pepsi..well you know the expression about a F&** in church...and I've heard the same comments the other poster referred to...Such is the Catch 22 of Womens athletics (which I do not intend to discuss)...It's great to say that the Women play in front of (insert attendance from mens game) when recruiting someone..but its a white lie...When the thing went afoul last night..there wasn't the kind of energy that even quiet old bodies can provide..the Pepsi was empty. I beleive when people started showing up around 8pm they were SHOCKED 1. When they saw the score 2. That it wasn't a fluke...It was a bit too late to try and prolong the game down by so many ..with so little time left...FOR WHATEVER REASON THE BOOOS WERE HEARD...its all part of the deal...Maybe some of the sociological blap imposed on college athletics in the 80's is beginning to get shaken out in reality...Perhaps someday the women will have earned themselves a big enough fan base to merit regular appearances in the Pepsi...perhaps it will never happen...
