Although, I am a Unitech graduants, I am very grateful for both universities (Unitech & UPNG) and takes no sides in either. This is so because both have the same motos to produce graduants that with run the nation (PNG).

My only comments would be that, UNPG images have been deteriorated because of the lead that they took in strikes and for the facts that they are situated in the capital does put them in such situations. As for unitech, although participated in various stikes, they are a second leading party to UPNG and also situated several KM out of the city of lae. These could be some of the influencial factors,etc.

I think I am in line with you(Hurah). From experience, we were about 30 that graduated with BSc. Out of the 30s, only two were employed that is myself and the other guy that graduated with Merits. By thinking that you can just complete University and go get the job just like that? The wantok system does work and it has played its part but you get no where with and can be sack easily because of the output you may produce. With good grades and qualification I recieved paid off just after only 8 months of working that I won a scholarship do do my Master of Science degree overseas. Actually, You deserved something better than that if you strife and suffer now (while in studies) so that you can enjoy later when you are out n the fields.
