If mom catches my sisters or me in a lie, we are disciplined severely. Not abusive, but definitely setting a fire that can't be put out. If there is a spanking with a soaping, the spanking is first. That being said, I do involve a heavy utilization of soap in the girl's discipline. Mouthsoapings are fairly frequent and thorough. I told mom I was at a friend's house but did not realize she had called to talk to her mom and found out I was never there. Mom and disciplined when caught lying. The only reason I can tell you is that is how grandma did when she caught my aunt, uncle or her lying. I think the mouth soaping is worse.
