So did your Mom ever just say you were going to get spanked at bedtime or did you just expect it by the way she was acting? The time you had to wait for your Dad to leave was dinner uncomfortable trying to act like every thing was normal. The only one that you mentioned that you knew he was going to get after you left was the pot smoking one.

Hi!

Usually mom brought up what she had on her mind in the evening, when the day could be summed up. There were exceptions, though, and it also happened that she wanted to have ”a talk” that was an actual talk.

It was the pot incident, yes. I don’t remember the dinner as so awkward. I’m not sure I had yet grasped at that time exactly how displeased she was.

I wouldn't consider it that much of a wait though since you didn't know it was coming. A nasty shock to be sure though. Do you remember what she has so mad about?

I don’t think mom consciously modified her behaviour when dad was at home. I think that she was happier, in a general way, when that was the case. Leona
