I don’t believe in spanking for poor grades, or in “double jeopardy” where there is more than one spanking for what amounts to the same offense.

I can get behind a spanking for doing Stephanie’s homework and lying about what you were doing over there.

If I was in your mother’s shoes, you would have gotten a lecture on the fact that doing Stephanie’s homework for her isn’t doing her any favors, you would have been banned from Stephanie’s house, and would have been subjected to increased monitoring on grades until they had improved.

I’m can certainly understand the motivation behind wanting to be well-liked. When I was a kid, I was allowed free rein over the neighborhood, but I was never supposed to cross a specific high traffic street. There was another kid who wanted to cross to the neighborhood on the other side. I knew it was not allowed, but I went along with it anyway so I did not seem like a wuss. A friend of my mom’s saw us and reported me to my mom. When I got home I was confronted and confessed. I received a well deserved bottom warming that day.
