It is possible that Micromat's "speedy cache" could work at 40 MHz. It's designed for the Q605/LC475 series , which run at 25 MHz. I've been tempted to lay out the money and try it out at 40 MHz on my Mystic. It's just memory after all. It may well work.

It's $100, a price that's impossible to justify spending, but there's not much more you can do to speed up a 40 MHz Mystic. The video and serial ports won't take any more than 2 or 3 more MHz beyond 40 in the best case scenario.

Does anyone know of any reason that the Micromac under CPU cache for the 605/475 would not work at 40 MHz (or at 33 in an overclocked 605/475 for that matter ?)
