Subject: Ultimate Mystic - help needed!

Hi!

As I mentioned yesterday, I have a nice Mystic (clocked to 40MHz) on its way to me. An Ethernet card and a full 68040 processor should be added quickly. A 64Mb SIMM is also under negotiation. A large HD isn't a technological question, just a sourcing issue.

However, if the performance of this Mystic is to 'stretch the envelope', then an L2 cache for the 575 logic board becomes 'essential'. ;-)

LEM says they existed. No-one else does. I start my searches from http://lowendmac.net/tech/l2cache.shtml but the author, Scott L Barber, seems to have disappeared, and with him the route to the source he had for cache cards (presumably plugging into the CPU socket) for 575 boards.

So, HELP, PLEASE!

If Mystic owners all start searching, perhaps we might get somewhere. Perhaps. But it must be worth a try, to get the fastest Mystic on the planet!

Stuart.
