Subject: OS & Screen troubles

I just finished the PPC upgrade. (BTW, the screen is 640x480 and works fine.) I slipped a 630 board in and it gave me a disk with an X in it, then went ahead and booted up normally. Except, when the cycle is completing an error pops up that says "Can't initialize. Disk locked." and when I click OK it pops up again (all icons are greyed out). So I tried a 6300 board. It does the same thing except at the very end I get no icons at all, the popup window is there but without words, and the cursor works.

Also, there's a horrible wave on the left edge of the screen image and lines roll through the picture.

I've been through all the troubleshooting info I can find. Anyone have some advice?
Thanks,
--jamie
