I also started a mod in one of mine like this too but I never did the electronics. I did manage to mount the drive and file the opening a little and the ZIP disks moved in and out of the opening easily. I did learn that the drive has to be fitted in well like Al mentions but it is not too hard. Did not test power supply capacity but was not worried. Also, I use IDE drives in my PCCs so I just added a single long SCSI cable but never wired up the PS lines for it. I ended up selling the PCC because I desperately needed the $.
