So I think I've taken apart/put back together this lil' guy around 20 or so times today! It was working (with the color and sound probs) earlier this morning, then I took it apart to flip the push-button connector cable to troubleshoot the sound, put it back together and it wouldn't even boot. Soooo, I took it apart again and reversed what I had just done, put it back together and still nothing. Since then, I've triple-verified all connections are going to the proper place, continuity , checked all solder-points (thrice) and it still won't boot. I also ran through Takky's troubleshooting section and still no joy :(

When the main switch in the back is turned on, I can hear the tube charge up, but when the soft-power button on the keyboard is pressed, all I hear are a series of sound stutters (kinda like the sound rotary phones made when dialing).

Could something have been damaged by flipping the push-button board earlier? I'm stuck.
