To avoid confusion... If you were only asking about s19 through 21 (Monitor ID lines)... No, it is not neccesary to do the mod both places. You will still have to connect the analog board connector to the new harness, though. It's a pain, but if you follow takky step by step... wire by wire.. you will get it. I was where you are. I sat there looking at all those wires, thinking, I can't do this. My first takky was done the foolproof totally safe way. Remove the cable from the analog board connector, and then start peepling the wires apart on the harness side, tagging them with masking tape, and writing their number on them. After I had them all labled, it was just a matter of counting pins, and pushing wires down. Looks like a bird's nest, though.
