Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I was thinking about doing this last night, but dismissed it as a problem as the CC never gives any trouble when doing 512x384.

I'll go and check those solder joints. First I'll check the end-of-crt board, the horizontal deflector circuitry and the other suggested areas. If that fails, I divide the analog board into a grid and check it square-by-square. If I can't find any obvious problems, I'll just subject all the joints to the old remelt-with-the-soldering-iron technique.

If that doesn't work, I'll look into replacing various bits and pieces.
