Isolating the 8-pin and connecting (via a wire) the 8-pin to the 10-pin is REQUIRED no matter WHAT analog board you have. The fork in the road comes regarding the J78/79 jumper issue.

If your analog board HAS J78/79, then there are 2 ways to do the modification:

1) Remove J78 and solder the jumper onto J79.

2) Remove J78 and make a solder bridge ACROSS J79 (I did this since those jumpers are too tiny!!) (works the same as #1).

If your analog board is MISSING J78/79, then from what I've been told you need to cut the 20-pin. Maybe I need to clarify what is meant by this .. you cut the LINE to the 20-pin. Use a dremel with the same size bit as the one used to isolate the 8-pin. Someone on this board has gotten this to work succesfully (without the whining noise) .. maybe we are missing something??
