Subject: Trouble at School = Big trouble at home

Before I get to the subject matter, I want to apologize about any confusion I may have caused. My given name is Peter Paul, I prefer Paul, often introduce myself that way and have contributed here as Paul1978. However, I see I have posted a few times with the name Peter1978. I want to apologize if that caused any confusion.

An hour ago my wife got a call from the junior high school our twins attend. Apparently, my son and a group of other boys have been hopping the fence that runs along the school property, crossing the street, purchasing cans of soda and energy drinks from convenience store and then sneaking them into the school in their jackets and hiding them in their lockers. The school has policies against leaving school property during school hours without a parent sign out and forbids soda and energy drinks.

When the boys were confronted they said they only hopped the fence once to retrieve a football that made its way over the fence and they were sorry but figured it wouldn’t be a big deal. However, several faculty members witnessed the boys enter and exit the convenience store. A visit with the clerk of the store subsequently revealed the boys purchasing the forbidden drinks. Checks of their lockers revealed the drinks, some unopened and some empties, indicating this had been occurring for some time.

The boys, I believe 5 were identified including my son, were subsequently given disciplinary referrals for 1) leaving school property unauthorized, 2) possessing banned drinks and 3) deliberate and conscious dishonesty to school faculty. The sentences carry three days of in-house suspension, probation for the next 45 school days and, my son and two other culprits are on the 8th grade varsity basketball team and have been ruled ineligible for the opening two games of the season - this Friday and next Tuesday.

I will be picking up the twins after practice today (our daughter plays girls varsity basketball) and, when we get home, I will be addressing the matter with a quite considerable bare bottom spanking for my son. I am also strongly considering administering a hand spanking prior to school tomorrow, Friday and Monday, ensuring that he remains keenly aware of his misbehavior while sitting in ISS each day.
