No, MAX, that wouldn't have worked at all. Finley's buddy already spilled the beans about Finley's participation to his buddy's dad. If his buddy's dad then told Finleys stepdead, Finley would have to lie and say he didn't do it, in effect calling his buddy's dad a liar. Who is Finley's stepdad going to believe, the adult with no reason to lie or the kid who most certainly does? There have been a couple of cases where I have been falsely accused by an adult. I truthfully denied it. My mom took the word of the adult over mine and I was punished. I didn't have to successfully lie, I was telling the truth; I didn't do it. Finley would have to be a world-class experienced liar to pull this one off. From what I have read on the forum here I believe Finley is no such thing. Therefore, he would almost certainly be caught in the lie. Then Finley might very well have gotten three spankings; one for participating in the site, another one for covering up the crime, and a third for lying, with maybe a mouth soaping thrown in for good measure.

No, Finley did the right thing. Of course, a better thing would have been to not participate in the site in the first place and I hope Finley will remember the spanking and not do something like that again, but having done so, confession was the only way out. You did good, Finley. Could have been better, but most certainly much worse, too.
