The tone we're spoken with can very much induce panic.

Us boys could sense in the voice of our parents if the situation was very grave and likely to be a much longer punishment than average.

There were times when Dad's last 3 words to me were an ultra stern and deep

BEND! OVER! CALLUM!

When emphasis was placed on each word a chill went down my spine. A huge spanking was coming
