Yes and Joe McCready got that punishment as well. He also got the infamous cold shower punishment.

One of the international versions was much more creative in its punishments. One boy had to a physical workout carrying a log but also crawling through mud to ensure his p.e kit was well covered in mud. Other punishments included standing barefoot in manure, changing into pajamas cracking an egg on your head and standing in the courtyard.

Oh it had nothing to do with bushcraft skills. It was punishment for misbehavior on camp.
