I wonder if she's going to post reels of the whoopings! :o

I guess it's humiliating for the kid to have these posted. I also watched the one where she made him explain to the camera what he had learned from his punishments and why. He didn't really seem to have learned a lot.

He definitely needs some kind of punishment cos his behaviour really does sound that he was acting like a bully. Dragging other kids out of their chairs etc. Most likely he's large for his age and taking it out on the smaller kids.

A lot of the people commenting on the reel seem to approve of the punishment and also of her posting it. Some don't approve of her posting it.

In one of those two reels he really looks (and sounds!) like he would prefer a spanking instead. One of the people in the comments said so, and mentioned a belt. I wonder if the whoopings are actually really from a belt.

I think the punishment of holding two buckets of water at arm's length was used on a "soft pacifist" kid by a mean teacher in some UK detective drama series episode that also later had the same teacher giving this punishment:

(that's actually a belt spanking, which is super moderately inaccurate for the type of school that it was supposed to be)

In the slightly silly 2004 UK TV series "That'll Teach 'em" they took a group of modern UK 16-year-olds and put them in a "traditional 1950s style school", complete with liver served as part of school dinners etc.

Unfortunately the series producers were totally soft, and told the viewers that "this boy would've been caned for this behaviour, but that's illegal now", so instead they made the naughty boys hold up a heavy exercise ball at arm's length for a long amount of time. So another similar type of punishment.

I don't think that has much to do with bushcraft skills! :D :D

Although maybe if Achilles was in the bush and needed to avoid having his weak point bitten by a poisonous spider....?

But one of our more sadistic PE teachers has made us do this exercise too. Over and over again. Supposedly it's about strengthening stomach muscles or something?

ofc when we said it was painful, he said lots of rude things about us being soft too.
