Hi Danylo. Thank you for responding.

1) I like that you say it is also for the future mother to decide.

2) It is interesting that some parents give a lecture before the physsical punishment begins. In some ways that could be a good thing as it means they are not hitting "in the heat of the moment".

3) Yes, I accidentally wrote "paddle" which might suggest a single cultural instrument but really I meant the whole idea of physical punishment.
