Sorry you got your old paddle from your uncle. I am wondering if he had clearly told you what time to be home. If not, then I do think a warning would have been better. If he told you a time and then you were late, then I see why he would spank as you broke a rule that he had. Like you said, when in Rome do as the Romans do.

It is good the bruise mostly faded before you had gym class.

I hope when you parents get home, your Dad doesn't see the need for a following spanking, but your Dad seems reasonable and will let your uncle's spanking be enough.
