Me and Josh were 12 at the time. We were told to take our trousers down on this occasion our shirts came off as well. As we were in school uniform we were in black dress socks (it was a school rule boys had to wear dress socks - no white sports socks). We were expected to face the wall for 10 minutes without speaking. Dad was watching us, if either of us broke “corner time rules” the offender would get smacked again with the slipper but with underpants pulled down and still have 10 minutes in the corner. Both of us knew we deserved it and accepted our punishments. We saw each other getting smacked and dad allowed us to go into one bedroom (we had separate bedrooms) when he sent us to bed. He knew we liked each other’s company. There was still tears in our eyes when we went to bed.
