Hey Lucas like you the spankings Dad handed out were well and truly hard and long enough to punish pretty much any offences.
Think the motivation was to make sure i understood with absolute clarity that my mouthing off or whatever 2nd offence was wasnt swept under the carpet.

Out of us 3 boys i was the one who had most trouble holding my tongue when being lectured. We all copped our fair share of the yardstick but cause of my mouth i was on the receiving end of some of the longest beltings Dad handed out.
