Yes I've not used Grok for generating pics (or at least I don't think I have). I do remember some news stories a while ago I think about Grok being used to turn clothed pics of real people into unclothed pics. Or something like that. And some different limitations being put on Grok after an outcry. > BTW, I couldn't read the CH2 blog because it required > a (proof of age/18+) sign in which I'm not happy to do > just now. It is a "soft check" so basically if you have a Google (or gmail) account that's not registered as a minor then it will let you in with that. > A while back there was a link to an alternative AI > picture generating site that didn't seem to require > ID. Yes there are a few different ones and somehow they even now advertise them at me. Altho I don't know if they're any good and haven't had time to try one for quite a few months. Sometimes it seems like the more "co-operative" an AI is, the more likely it is to produce inappropriate pics. Which are then no use because too NSFW. The quality of pics (and videos) produced by AI is changing fast. You don't see the problems with wrong numbers of fingers on people's hands any more. This is why I try to include the year that a pic was generated, if I use it as a forum pic. AI still manages to be dumb at times. Earlier today I did a search in DuckDuckGo for when Nigel Farage most recently visited Manchester. The top search result was an article in the Manchester Evening News, dated in February 2026, about him visiting Manchester for a by-election which was in February 2026. Above that was the "AI assistant" answer which confidently claimed that "Nigel Farage most recently visited Manchester in 2023..."
