We do use restraining. I’m not a single mom (at least anymore) like some of the others here that do use it. But my husband and I do really long spanking sessions sometimes with the kids when they deserve it. We slow it down and drag it out over 2 or 3 hours (sometimes) and restraining them helps a lot. This isn’t super relevant, but outside of spanking I’m into Shibari, which is like fancy ways to tie people with rope. It’s a thing I’ve been into before I had kids as part of my sex life. Like I said, not super relevant but I do use rope to bind them sometimes and it’s not something we always do, but we do pretty often. My husband supports it and likes that we do it too, so it works for us. Not necessarily for safety like you asked in your post, but really just a choice we make.
