Hey Dani, i was not actually restrained in any way, but there were rules.

To get the yardstick off Dad us 3 boys were almost always made to bend over the back of a dining chair. The other rule was placement of hands. They were to either be placed on the seat or grab hold of the arms. We were to never reach back or stand up. That almost certainly would mean a longer session with the yardstick.

Meant Dad could easily whack my bottom with no blocking, and keep whacking until satisfied the punishment was enough
