I'm not sure how unusual it is but this doesn't happen to me during the spanking. I am just thinking about the pain and how I want it to be over. When I go to sleep afterwards I go from crying, feeling sorry for myself, to resenting my mother for spanking me, to loving my mother for spanking me (how does that jump happen? It always does for me) to replaying all the emotions and physical sensations I had during the spanking and then I can become erect.
