I don't know what kind of counseling is best here. It's probably not something anyone specializes in. If I was in this situation, I would look for help, possibly a family counselor that both my daughter and I can talk to together, and see if they have any recommendations for us.

The problem I would have with this situation is the sexual nature of it. How is that going to impact our relationship? Is it more dangerous than it appears? I'm no expert on this. My first inclination would be to insist that my child wait until she is an adult, or has a trusted boyfriend, before she engages in sexual relations. It is a reasonable restriction that a parent imposes on a child in any case — but can she be trusted to comply?

If I was not a spanko myself, my feelings about it might not get in the way. It would be an odd thing to do, and maybe just as problematic, but if there was no better option, I might look for someone I trust to spank her, and while I am in the house so as to make sure she is safe.
