I am sorry you had to see your mom in that state. I am glad to read that she didn't spank you while having a manic episode, and I hope that stayed the case.

I grew into a tough enough girl I could make it through a spanking from my dad without crying. But lectures always got me really deep, and I'd have been bawling if I'd have had to go through that.
