Rolling my eyes would have been a bad idea, I'm pretty sure. And sometimes things surfaced in the lecture where I felt really bad that I hurt her feelings.

Like only talking about her punishing me (which happened far less than could have given the heathen I was and how much she watched me throughout my childhood) gives a bad impression of her that's probably unfair. She was a very good lady who did a lot of good things for me, my cousins, and my siblings.

It's just that the world kind of stopped turning for her sometime around 1950.
