1..I went to a country school in Canada and the type of corporal punishment was getting the strap on your hand u don't write with. I was strapped 3 times in grade 7 ( 13 yrs old) and it hurt so bad I cried my way out of the office.
2..The principal decided your punishment for u whether it was lines, an essay, a in school detention, or the strap after getting parents permission.
3..I would have chosen the detention and hoped no phone call or note was sent home with me.
4..I chose to misbehave and was given both the strap, and a very good spanking the minute I got home.
