I corresponded some time back with a Russian who said he and his wife kept a tally during the week and he spanked and caned his daughters on Sunday according to their misbehaviors over the week. He sounded pretty sadistic but being Russia he could get away with that kind of thing. Of course he might have been making it up but I don't think so.
