 Did anyone on here ever know of or personally experience a child being given a public bare bottom spanking or even a semi-public spanking where the underpants came off despite the presence of witnesses a similar age of same or opposite sex? Whether siblings, cousins, family, or even outside the family.

In the 1997 film Joe The King, the titular character (about 9-10 years old) physically retaliates against a classmate for bullying him about the fact his father is the school janitor, after he was forced to reveal this information by the teacher in a deliberate effort to embarrass him. After he hits the girl who was making fun of him, the teacher bolts to his desk, lifts him out of his seat and carries him one armed to the front of the classroom for immediate punishment. The punishment: public humiliation. She says "you will NEVER touch another child in my classroom again." She then pulls his pants and underwear down, and quickly thwarts a desperate attempt by the boy to pull them back up by throwing him over her knee. Wasting no time, she commences the hand spanking and brings her open palm down very hard on our protagonist's naked buttocks. To be clear, while you do see her hand smack what look like bare buttocks, it's clearly some life size human doll over her lap in that particular shot. The scene proceeds with 10 audible SMACKS of bare hand on bare bottom. As she proceeds with the old fashioned spanking, we see the shocked reactions of the other kids (in particular, the girls watching his humiliation in full view) while she says "when I tell you to do something, I expect you to do it." We see a close up of his pained and mortified face as she continues to enforce the humiliation by saying "you're just like your father". He grimaces but does not start crying, although the scene cuts before the spanking is finished so it's unclear how long she extended the punishment or if he was spanked to the point of tears.

As Joe walks home, his friend derides the teacher for treating him so inhumanely while his older brother says "she really pulled your pants and underwear down??" and Joe says nothing, which is a silent yes. He asks one more question in a way that indicates he finds this form of punishment rather cruel, "in front of everybody?". Another silent yes. You have to feel for the poor kid, and unfortunately this is not from the screenwriter's sick imagination. According to the writer and director Frank Whaley, this incident depicts something that actually happened to him in roughly 1971-73 when he grew up in Syracuse, New York.

There are three things that make this scene out of a horror film for me: one is that the teacher not only pulls his pants down but his underpants as well, and another is that instead of at least taking him out of the classroom to spank him, she gives him a spanking in front of the entire class with no regard for his modesty. After the hand smacking begins, there are 3 quick cuts to the shocked expressions of 3 female classmates who have just seen his nakedness exposed and watch as he takes a bare ass over the knee hand spanking like a little kid intercut with his red face of unspeakable humiliation and embarrassment. Very powerful acting from that kid, I gotta say. While the character is technically still a 'little kid' he is much more a tween than toddler, and I don't think I have words for how shameful this must have been for him. He's clearly prepubescent but would be at an age where he'd be conscious of social norms surrounding 'private parts' and want to keep at least his underpants on, particularly with a bunch of girls his age watching just a few feet away.

Pulling the boy's pants AND underwear down in the presence of the witnesses was a conscious choice, and it's one I have come across in other instances, for example:

In the Dutch film Confetti Harvest (2014) a 12-13 year old girl is given an OTK bare bottom hand spanking like a little kid in front of her older brother, who looks about 17. She runs off before the young man steps up to take his punishment thankfully with his sister now gone. The father has no implement, so while it's tough to imagine a 17 year old boy (who looks taller than his father) going over his father's knee for a hand spanking but that's what the film seems to imply, and to be honest I'm sure that comes with a heavy dose of embarrassment having to submit to that as a late teenager. I digress. The point is, this is also based on an autobiography so it allegedly really happened to the author of the book 'Dorsvloer Vol Confetti' Franca Treur. The way the book writes it depicts the anticipation and dread of the girl knowing she will have to submit to the spanking and there's nothing she can do about it but try not to start crying on the spot. The film depicts both the sentencing by the mother and the punishment itself. The girl manages to hold back tears at least before she runs off, but the acting in this scene from her is something I find very powerful, similar to how I felt about the boy in Joe The King. You can see on her face how utterly mortifying the experience is, and again it's kind of terrifying to me that this happened to someone. Again, it was a conscious choice to have her underpants removed in front of her brother.

Other less believable yet noteworthy examples I've come across on the internet:

- A ~13 year old boy is caught shoplifting and instead of contacting the police the shopkeeper allows the boy's mother to enforce punishment which she promises to be severe. The boy has been brought up in a religiously conservative family and thus has a strong sense of modesty. As punishment for his attempted shoplifting, he will be spanked in front of his sisters and because of the seriousness of the offense he will be taking off his pants and underwear in front of them to increase embarrassment. The boy goes week in the knees upon learning of his fate and almost starts crying. reluctantly allows his mother to undress him and is shocked when his underwear comes down as even his mother hasn't seen him so exposed in years, his sisters much longer. She spanks him the old fashioned way, over the knee with her bare hand smacking the boy's naked bottom while he tries to fight back the tears both from the spanking and being seen so exposed. It doesn't take long before his emotions erupt and he bursts into tears, sealing his humiliation, while the room fills with the sound of the boy's wailing while bare hand smacks his bare bottom hard and consistently.

I think I've made my point. There are examples upon examples of this type of thing. The most common reasons I see for baring a child's bottom is to visually monitor how painful the spanking is as it progresses, and in the case of big kids to deliberately humiliate the child by making their private parts, well... public, as part of the punishment.

Does anyone have personal experience with this? I am not ready to say if I do or don't, first I want to see if this is something that people have gone through or witnessed themselves. What are people's memories regarding big kids getting a bare bottom spanking in front of other kids?
