That depended on who I was doing it with, where we were and whether or not there was an implement handy. The implement that seemed to be used most often was mom's "Cute Little Deer" paddle. Especially when we played school. In our version of School all spankings were bare bottom instead of over the pants. But implements could range from the paddle, to belts, hairbrushes, a yard stick, flyswatter and even switches. In fact, the only spankings I got (or gave) by switch were play spankings.

No safe words, we were kids, so we didn't know about designated safe words. We didn't have them for the spankings we got from adults so there were no safe words. We basically spanked based on the spankings we got from the adults in our lives that spanked us.

Bare bottom. honestly part of the fun was seeing each other's bare butt whether it was a girl or boy. That was a taboo so that made the games more fun.

When I was a young boy, the play spankings weren't bad at all playful slaps at best, like a birthday spanking but maybe it would sting a little more. In our teens, the spankings were much harder sometimes almost as hard as the real spankings we got.

I was pretty used to getting my bare butt spanked by mom and I prided myself on being able to take harder spankings when I was on the receiving end during play. There were times I would break Kayfabe when on the receiving end and I would tell the spanker, "You can spank harder if you want." Not that I enjoyed the pain per say, but the warm tingling sensation after. Plus proving I could take a harder spanking kind of fed my ego a little. If I was on the giving end, I usually didn't spank hard unless the spankee asked me to.

Again the closest thing we got to "safe words" would be "ow not so hard." or "Stop that hurts". Remember, we were kids not adults doing role or age play. Now that being said, In our teens, there were times we did it to see who could make the other's bottom the reddest or who could take the hardest spankings. Because of the accident I was in at twelve, I developed a high tolerance for pain. So many times when I was on the receiving end of the spankings, I would ask to be spanked harder, or would tell the person to give me a real spanking. I honestly got some spankings from my sister and from my best friend that were harder than spankings from mom. But, I would still "pull my punches" when I was the spanker unless I was encouraged to spank harder.

absolutely, especially in our teens. My "best friend and I liked to compare to see who's butt was the reddest. Which I usually "won" because I could take a hard spanking and being fair skinned, My butt got red faster and would be a darker shade.
