The most common and worst implement i copped in older years was a wooden yardstick.

Being a less common implement, can be described as a paddle/belt hybrid. Has the wood of a paddle, not as thick but thats made up for by it having the length of a belt, plus a bit more.

Every bit as bad to get hit with as a belt or paddle

For fighting my middle bro at a beach I did once get the yardstick across the speedo briefs I had on. That was pain on a whole new level

Caused red stripes but wouldnt say it was anywhere on level of welts. Moderate bruising at worst. Pain was worse than the marks
