You’re out over a lap, holding your breath as you expect to be wailing in a few seconds. Then it’s a few light slaps with your mom saying “I-hope-you’re-learning-your lesson” as she punishes you. She later may brag to her sister about the good sound spanking she gave you. Then some other time, that aunt puts you in position and you get something longer, harder and on the bare that has you howling in surprise.
