One day, in my 10th grade history class, we somehow got onto the subject of spanking. This turned into class being interrupted for several minutes while people shared their own experiences being spanked by their parents. The ones I remember:

1. One very attractive girl, who shared the most, talked about how her dad would make her go get the belt for her to be spanked with, and then she had to bend over with her hands on her knees. She also shared that she would cry when she was told to go get the belt, and her dad would tell her to save her tears for when she had something to cry about. She told us a story about a time when she was 9 years old and having a sleep over at her house. She back talked her father and he bared her bottom and spanked her in front of all of her friends.

2. Another girl shared that she was made to bare her own bottom to be spanked. This particular girl was on the volleyball team and was at least 6 feet tall, maybe even taller! It was strange to imagine her having to submit to corporal punishment.

3. One girl told us how her father was a leather worker and he made a special leather strap to spank her and her sister. He also made belts and we got derailed for a couple of minutes while she showed off the pink belt she was wearing that he had made.

4. A boy shared that his parents used a paddle, and they never left the house without it, and that he recalled his parents pulling over in parking lots to spank him or his siblings while they were out and about.

What surprised me the most about this whole conversation was how freely everyone was sharing their experiences. I was way too embarrassed to share any of my own experiences, especially in a room full of people that for the most part I had known almost my entire life.

Did anybody else have a similar experience? At that age, 15 or 16 years old, would you have been comfortable enough to share or would you have been like me and too embarrassed?
